FlexiTime Ranked #158 in Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500
FlexiTime Ranked #158 in Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500.
FlexiTime has been recognised as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Deloitte has released its annual 2015 Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500, naming Wellington-based payroll software company FlexiTime as one of the fastest growing technology firms in the region.
The index ranks the top 500 tech businesses according to their revenue growth over the past three years and sets the standard for high growth technology businesses in Asia and the Pacific.
With growth of 269%, FlexiTime ranked 158th on the overall list and was the 12th ranked New Zealand-based business.
Founder and CEO Robert Owen says the result is a reflection of the hard work the FlexiTime team have put in. “Cloud based software for small businesses is a rapidly growing segment of the software market. We’ve been able to drive growth by developing innovative solutions and delivering them to our customers as low cost, simple to implement and well supported applications.”
FlexiTime develops market-leading payroll and employee time management solutions for New Zealand businesses. “It's a very competitive marketplace with the big accounting software companies competing strongly in the payroll space.
“Recently we've seen Xero release a basic payroll option and Australian company MYOB trying to bolster their declining accounting customer base through acquisition of NZ desktop payroll companies Ace Payroll, IMS Payroll and Pay Global.
"The ability to integrate cloud systems means that the advantages of having payroll and accounting in a single application are no longer significant. The real benefits come from combining easier ways of recording employee time with payroll.
“Businesses waste so much time collecting timesheets from staff and often the time is inaccurate or has been exaggerated. FlexiTime’s web applications make it easier to record employee time and pay your employees accurately for the time worked,” says Mr Owen.
“We’ve recently released FlexiTime Mobile, a brand new mobile app for employees to record their hours from wherever they are. Our developers are currently putting the final touches on a large-scale redevelopment of our photo timeclock, a tablet app for recording the times that staff clock in and out of shifts.
“We are looking to continue our strong growth over the next year through the development of time recording and invoicing solutions focused on the global recruitment market. As New Zealand’s leading payroll software for recruitment companies, we've learned a lot about the processes that drive those businesses. We think the opportunity for process improvement in that industry is huge and potential for growth into a global market is exciting.”
